What’s Going on at McCord Memorial Library?

Our Young Adult Area has Fiction, Non Fiction, Graphic Novels, Comics, Manga, and more!

Graphic Novel Club

Tweens & Teens can come to the library to discuss their favorite graphic novels. Snacks & activities will be provided. Stay tuned for more details!

Homework Space

Need somewhere quiet to work on homework? Come to McCord! You can use the tables, chairs, and space to work on homework.

STEAM Club

On Monday’s at 2:00-3:00, STEAM Club meets in the Lower Level. Join us as we use Legos, Art work, and other hands-on activities to learn and have fun. This program runs during the summer only.

And of course… Books!

The library has books for everyone. Check out our collection and see what book sounds good to you! If you would like to read a book that you don’t see on our shelves, place a hold at our circulation desk.

Libby App

Through the Libby App you can access eBooks and Audiobooks. All you need to do is download the app and sign up with your library card. Books will automatically return when they are due, so there are never any fines!

Nintendo Switch Games

(and other consoles as well!)

The library has switch games that can be checked out to library cards. Due to the cost of the games, these items can only be checked out on Adult cards. We also accept game recommendations!

Volunteer

Teens can apply to volunteer at the library. Ask for an application at the circulation desk. This is an easy way to get volunteer hours and give back to your community.

Library cards are free to anyone living in Erie County. Bring your Driver’s License/State ID to register for a card. If you don’t have one, bring a parent or guardian and sign up today!
