Friends of the Library
We promote interest in library programs, volunteer for various events which promote the library and community, and aid in the overall growth and development of McCord Memorial Library.
The Friends of McCord Library was reorganized in 1996 and has operated continuously ever since. It s a volunteer organization that supports the library in various ways. We meet downstairs at McCord Library on the first Wednesday of the month at 3:00.
All are welcome to join and no dues are collected
Our “Friends of McCord Library” is a very active group. Meetings have resumed! Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 3:00pm. New members are always welcome and no dues are collected.
You can be as involved as you want to be. Membership in “the Friends” is a great way to support your community library. Some activities “the Friends” sponsor are the Used Books Sales and the February Speaker Series. Call the library at 725-4057 or any member for more information.
If you would like a membership form, stop by the library and ask. We hope to see YOU soon and bring a friend or neighbor, too!
