Annual Appeal

  • It is that time of year again. The money raised will go into our Current Needs fund and helps fund our different programs throughout the year.
  • For all monetary gifts that we receive, we offer a gift in exchange. This year we have McCord magnetic clips!
    • Curious about where we stand in donations? Keep track with us as you watch our thermostat on the lobby window increase!

Read Across America

  • Turn in your Read Across America bookmark trackers by December 30, to be entered to win a $50 gift card. One winner will be announced for Adults and Young Adults. Winners will be announced in January.
    • Remember, all books that you read in 2025 that take place within the United States can be tracked.
      • Did you not receive a tracker bookmark and want to participate? Ask the front desk for one and turn it in by December 30.

The Art of Tea Blending

  • December 13 @ 10:30
  • Join us for this hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the basics of tea blends. Each participant will craft their own blend. A brief sampling will take place at the end of the workshop.
  • Each participant will make and take home a custom tea blend. (Ages 17+)
    • Cost: $5.00 | Pre-Registration Ends Dec. 11

Adult Bingo Winter Basket

  • December 1 – January 31
  • Looking for something to do this winter? Register for our Winter Reading BINGO. To earn a BINGO, complete a row of challenges (diagonal, vertical, or horizontal). Each BINGO you complete will count as an entry in our prize drawing. The prize this year is a cozy book-themed blanket throw.

    • Enjoy a read-aloud followed by themed activities, games, or crafts based on the book.
    • The first meeting of each month features a “Book vs. Movie” showdown where we read a book, watch a short clip, and play a game to test your knowledge!

STEAM Club

  • Mondays at 4:00
  • Ages 6+
    • Join us every first Monday of the month for STEAM Club. We will have activities available such as Beebots, Marble Runs, Legos, and more!

Piglet Story Time

What is Dial-A-Story?

  • Dial-a-Story is a library program that is available 24/7! Call 814-347-8318 to hear a story read to you. Stories are available in English and Spanish. English stories change weekly and the Spanish story changes monthly.
  • Call as many times as you want!
