The Friends of McCord Library Spring Book Sale will take place April 15-20 during regular library hours. We will be selling a variety of Fiction, Non-Fiction, Paperbacks, and Children’s books. We will also have DVDs, puzzles, audiobooks, and much more. We cannot guarantee specific titles, as most of the books for sale are donated. McCord only accepts cash or check payments. We recently weeded our collection, so you will see a lot of former library books at the sale! Now is your chance to give these books a new home.

National Library Week: Ready, Set, Library!

Collection Update Notes:

Eagle-eyed patrons may have noticed that the books and DVDs have moved around. We are always here to help you find something if the changes are confusing.

We have eliminated the Pink Dot section in the Children’s library. The books are now with the regular Blue Dot picture books. More changes are coming soon to the collection in the children’s library so stay tuned.

We have also made more space for DVDs and DVD sets. We hope to expand this collection in the future.

Just like a garden weeding is always ongoing and books and other items will be shifted to make room for new books. During the book sales many of these weeded books can find new homes, so look forward to further small changes to our library ecosystem. The hope is that our collection will be easier to browse and more relevant to our community’s interests.

New Item: Laptops!

We have 2 HP laptops available for in-library use. These laptops check out like books and you can use them for up to 2 hours. Perfect for studying, relaxing, or simply if you would prefer to sit at one of the tables with papers spread out instead of at the computers. You must have a library card to borrow a laptop.

See you in May!
